200 kids attended the Beaubassin-est Summer Camps in 2018

More than 200 kids registered in the 2018 Beaubassin-est and Cap-Pelé Summer Camps. Youngsters from 5 to 11 years old had fun with the camp monitors named Woody (Tchad LeBlanc), Mulan (Adèle Cormier), Coccinelle (Danicka Belliveau), Mimi (Mylène Bourque), Tiana (Chloë LeBlanc) and Daisy (Janie Léger).

A total of eight weeks of camps were offered during the 2018 summer, four weeks at the Community Centre in Haute-Aboujagane, the Cultural Center in Cormier Village, the Shemogue Golden Age Club and the Saint-André-LeBlanc Community Center, and four weeks at the Père-Edgar-T.-LeBlanc School in Grand-Barachois. Again this year, every week had a theme and several interesting workshops were presented, such as the environment with Vision H2O, fitness with Donald Cormier, as well as soccer, kites, nutrition, recycling, a "Paint Night" and even "balloon twisting".

Young people were treated to special activities each week, such as presentations by the Homarus Ecocenter and the reptile Zoo, shows by the magician Rémi Boudreau, a visit of a Haunted House, a visit and BBQ at the Haute-Aboujagane fire station, an Acadian meal prepared with the ladies of the Shemogue Golden Age Club, and even a movie with Alex Richard in collaboration with the Sud-Acadie Cultural Society.
