To celebrate the remarkable work of volunteers during National Volunteer Week, the Council of the rural community of Beaubassin-est had a draw for a $200 donation amongst volunteer organizations on its territory. The draw took place during the special meeting on Tuesday, April 17th and the winner is the Grand-Barachois Golden Age Club.
National Volunteer Week is April 15th to 21st, 2018. It is a good way to promote volunteers and applaud the work of thousands of people engaged in their communities.
The winning organizations of 2017, the Committee of the Gagnon skating rink in Grand-Barachois, and 2016, the Barachois Historical Church, were not eligible for this year’s draw. The following 15 organizations were in the draw:
